‘Weather’ or not, our summer release is here! Our 2023 fête is ready for you, and we can’t wait for you to try it!

fête is our very special and limited-production summer release. We sell out every year, and this year we are sure we will again. This wine has killer acidity, beautiful fruit, and color and is dry with a balanced sweetness. 

Portland Wine Week

We make this wine every year and release it for Portland Wine Week. We hope to make a wine for this extraordinary event that could stand up to a ‘typical’ wine, and perhaps you wouldn’t be able to tell that it was made with such a unique ingredient.

We designed the label with the Frances as our model. The Frances is a female captained and owned 72’ sailing yacht in Casco Bar. The Frances is the setting of Wine Wise’s wine sails. 

Portland Wine Week is an event that celebrates and showcases the diverse world of wine in Portland, Maine. It typically involves activities, tastings, seminars, and special events focused on wine appreciation, education, and exploration. The event brings together wine enthusiasts, professionals, industry experts, and winemakers to promote the appreciation of wine and highlight the local wine scene in Portland. It offers an opportunity for attendees to discover new wines, learn about different varietals and regions, and engage in discussions and tastings with experts in the field.

We had the honor to have the 2023 fête poured at the Women in Wine luncheon on the opening day of Portland Wine Week. Our wine was paired with the delicious fruit shortcake pictured above. 

The RHUBARB

This year’s fête was made with rhubarb from a single source - R. Belanger and Sons farm in Lewiston, Maine. The first we noticed about this rhubarb and its juice was THAT COLOR. This vintage of fête is a stunning pink color.
